What is ‘islamo-gauchisme’? The word sparked heated debates in French academia and public conversations 2020–2021. This article endeavors to shed light on the origin of notion, look at its uses within outside academia, reflect political ramifications controversy. Islamo-gauchisme an unsubstantial notion which operates as nudge debate: it sounds sufficiently threatening self-explanatory be taken seriously. study shows that controversy islamo-gauchisme has helped mainstream illiberal right-wing policies, make them plainly acceptable public.
